Ceramic Industry Museum and Gallery

The Ceramic Industry Museum and Gallery adopt two former porcelain workshops dating from the 1950s and 1990s. Retaining their authentic industrial character, the buildings are connected by a waterside square organized around a chimney and lined with street-front shops. Original kilns, machinery, and traces of production routes are integrated into the visitor circulation for on-site interpretation of the industrial heritage. New mezzanines and galleries were carefully inserted without major alterations to the existing shells. Salvaged firebricks form walls and paving, while restored clerestories bring daylight into the deep interiors. Architecture and shared local memory together narrate the history of porcelain production.
