Kuilongfang

Kuilongfang lies in the center of Lianjiang Old Town, with layered historic street patterns, dwellings, and public spaces. Heritage conservation is paired with sensitive infill construction. Historic timber and masonry structures were restored using traditional local craft techniques, while new buildings, covered corridors, and ramps mend gaps in the urban fabric. Contemporary interventions remain distinguishable through their structural detailing. New openings, verandas, and shopfronts activate formerly enclosed facades for cultural and commercial use. Restored watercourses and walkways reconnect the quarter with the wider old town.
