Imperial Kiln West Pavilion

Located within the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Archaeological Park, the West Pavilion sits among porcelain kiln remains and traces of historic workshops. The design protects the archaeological remains, conserves the historic townscape, and strengthens spatial connections across the site. A lightweight steel canopy shelters the ruins with minimal ground disturbance, while elevated walkways offer views over the layered archaeology. GRC panels, zinc roofing, and galvanized steel give the contemporary structure muted tones that respond to the indigenous brick and tile.
