Yongkang Tractor Factories

The Yongkang Tractor Factories record the city's transition from tractor production to hardware manufacturing. The original layout, workshops, principal production structures, and mature landscape form the framework for adaptive reuse. New squares, courtyards, pedestrian streets, and infill buildings create a productive relationship between the site and the surrounding city. Remodeled workshops accommodate cultural, commercial, and public programs, including an industrial heritage museum where original machinery and production lines remain visible. The project brings successive chapters of Yongkang's manufacturing history into a unified urban public realm.
