Daming Lake Park Extension

Daming Lake Park, integral to Jinan's spring-fed water system, has long been intertwined with the city's public life. Conceived as an urban-scale landscape and ecological water-management project, the extension removes walls to open the park toward neighboring streets and communities. Expanded areas retain historic lanes, mature trees, and heritage structures. Restored spring channels and enlarged water bodies, together with varied shoreline treatments, improve water circulation, habitats, and access to the water. The project integrates water infrastructure, ecological restoration, and public space while sustaining local landscape traditions.
